Both the Terra Nova Laser Space 2 and Wild Country Family Khamsin have been 'Highly Commended' at the 2010 Camping Magazine Awards. 

The awards were held to celebrate 50 years of Camping Magazine and were judged by a combination of readers and top camping journalists, with the Laser Space 2 in the 'Best Backpacking' category and the Family Khamsin in the running for 'Best Family Tent'. Although both tents just missed out on the top spot it's great to be recognised by such a mainstream magazine (in association with the Camping and Caravanning Club, no less) - our two looked positively out of place alongside the other 'out-of-the-box' style tents!

The Terra Nova Laser Space 2 is the world's first backpacking tent you can stand up in, and has already been recognised with a major European design award. With room for two people to sleep, eat, get changed and store kit in whilst tipping the scales at a mere 3.3kg, the Laser Space 2 is in a class of it's own for lightweight backpacking and cycle touring.

The Wild Country Family Khamsin takes the geodesic shape of our Terra Nova mountain tents and applies it to family camping, creating a shelter for 2 adults and up to 3 children with a central communal space. The use of aluminium alloy poles instead of the more traditional steel saves a lot of weight and storage space without sacrificing strength. In fact, the flexible alloy poles allow the Family Khamsin to 'flex' with the wind and avoid damage. These differences have made the Family Khamsin a popular choice for many years.
