The Laser Competition from Terra Nova has out classed its competition to receive a Silver Award in the camping category of the inaugural OutDoor INDUSTRY AWARDS of 2006.

These awards have been created by the organisers of OutDoor, the leading trade show in the European recreation sector, Messe Friedrichschafen. They are dedicated to rewarding successful design in the outdoor sector and cover all categories of products from accessories to footwear and camping equipment. The awards were judged by a variety of designers, athletes and journalists, all of whom are experts in their fields.

Judged according to the following criteria: the degree of innovativeness, design quality, workmanship, choice of materials, environmental compatibility, functionality, utility, safety, trendsetting character and brand value/branding. The Laser Competition has shown that its class leading design and cutting edge materials are unique and pivotal in the drive to reduce the strain on the shoulders of all backpackers, mountain racers and trail walkers the world over.
