The new Wild Country Sololite's 3-4 season backpacking credentials were really put to the test by Chris Townsend for the April edition of TGO Magazine.

We made things tricky by forgetting to give him any pitching instructions (sorry Chris!) but despite this the Sololite impressed from the start - "The first time I pitched it the weather was cold, wet and windy and I was wearing gloves. Even so the whole process took less than 5 minutes making this one of the easiest tents ive ever pitched." Not even the treacherous January weather could defeat the newcomer as "rain turned to heavy, wet snow overnight leaving the tent under a thick white blanket". The snow made way for "very heavy" rain and "strong wind gusting to 50mph", but "the Sololite stood up to this without problems, keeping all the rain out and not moving much in the wind".

All in all "this is a great solo tent at a very reasonable price".
