All Citadel tents have the following features as standard:
Jumbo Poles - 22-25mm wide steel poles with double-thickness corner sections allow us to create tents with large internal spaces and clean lines - good looking and highly functional. These are the strongest poles we have ever used and give a real feeling of stabillity in windy weather.
Easy to Pitch - the tunnel design and colour coded poles mean that it takes less then 30mins to pitch a Citadel. Poles are easily secured with a retaining pin, and the inner tents are simply clipped into place. The "outer-first" design also means that the tent stays dry inside, even if pitching in the wet.
Lots of Ventilation - Family tents are large structures that get hot in sunny weather and cold during the night. Citadel tents have mesh-covered vents situated at different heights, all with covers that can be adjusted or closed to regulate airflow and keep the tent fresh. Ground level vents run along the length of the sleeping area to help make sleeping comfortable.
Sewn in Groundsheet - the whole underside of each Citadel is sewn in place, which cuts draughts down and keeps out crawling insects. This allows you to remove a bedroom for extra space and still have full protection. The bedrooms themselves also have groundsheets, effectively doubling the protection in the sleeping areas.
Reinforced Guypoints - a tent is only as strong as it's guylines, and all Citadel tents have guypoints reinforced with Hypalon, additional webbing or brass eylets, as well as bar-tack stitching for maximum strength. There are plenty of guypoints too, so you can get a secure pitch on rough or stony ground.
