Recently voted 1st in Trail magazine's Hooped Bivi test. A great alternative to a tent for the solo backpacker.

A single pre-curved 7075 T9 aluminium alloy pole provide extra headroom and ensures good ventilation making it suitable for warmer, more humid conditions. No-see-um mesh door keeps out insects and has a storm hood for better weather protection.

The GORE-TEX® FLO2 fabric creates a more comfortable sleeping environment by allowing oxygen and carbon dioxide to pass through as well as water vapour.

Please note: For maximum safety and comfort, we always recommend the bivi bag zip be left slightly open when in use.

Review: Almost a tent for one 28/04/14

This is a lovely piece of bivvy kit, at the luxury end (and price), but perhaps worth it. No more roughing it sleeping with bivvy material sagging on your face in this design as the simple hoop entrance creates space for gear and creates a mini tent feel, while the insect mesh means you can choose to sleep looking out at the stars with no worries about insects biting. And if it rains it's a cinch to zip up the storm flap for full protection. You've almost moved beyond bivvying with this kit; it's slightly larger and heavier than simple bivis, with a pole and pegs that take a minute or two to pitch, but it still packs smaller and lighter than a one person tent and once you've crawled in you'll feel like royalty compared to your friends slumming it in survival bags. What's more the hooped design creates space to store a bit of your gear meaning that stays dry too.
