Posted on February 7th, 2018

We are proud to announce that our Extremities Antares Beanie has won a BETA International Innovation Award 2018.

The prestigious awards, sponsored by Equestrian Trade News, celebrate craftsmanship, design, technology and invention. Highly regarded throughout the equine industry, the awards put a spotlight on the best and brightest new products on the market.

The judging panel consisted of 6 highly respected industry experts, which included showing champion Oliver Hood, master saddler and harness maker Michelle Miller, and nutritionist Clare MacLeod.

It was our Antares Beanie that received the esteemed judges stamp of approval, winning the award for Innovation in the Country Clothing & Footwear category by unanimous decision.

The judges commented:

“We think customers will pay a premium for this good-quality product that is more stylish than traditional fluorescent headwear. Nice details include the fleece inner band.”

The Antares Beanie features our X Glo yarn and is 360 degrees reflective when touched by light in the dark. The award-winning beanie is part of the Extremities Performance Lifestyle Reflective range for next winter, which includes a range of gloves and hats that are stylish by day but come into their own as daylight starts to fade. The range, including the award-winning Beanie will be available for sale around September 2018. Look out for the Innovation Award winner’s logo which will be present on the Antares Beanie hat for the next twelve months.

The awards were given out at the three day BETA International exhibition which showcases the very best from the equestrian, country clothing, outdoor and pet sectors. This year the exhibition was held at Birmingham NEC from 21-23rd January.
The British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) is a group that represents more than eight hundred British suppliers and retailers.
