Marathon of Britain use Wild Country tents

Posted on July 9th, 2006

Ultra runners of the UK will be tested to their limits in an endurance race-with-a- difference supported by Alfreton-based Terra Nova Equipment.

The Marathon of Britain, a 170 mile/272km, 6-day race will see more than 50 runners competing from Great Malvern in Worcester to finish at the portcullis of Robin Hood’s Castle in Nottingham this summer.

Terra Nova Equipment is supporting this first running of the British Ultra Marathon event by providing 7 and 10-man tents from its Wild Country range. The recently re-designed range offers many added benefits and features including ease of pitching; spacious accommodation; handy storage features and ease of packing, which will all be important for this event.

Terra Nova Equipment’s managing director, Andy Utting said: “The tents are made to the highest standards, guaranteed waterproof and packed full of the features you would normally expect to find on more expensive models. We are delighted to be involved with the first Marathon of Britain and at Terra Nova we wish every competitor an enjoyable and successful race and a comfortable night’s sleep!”

The Marathon of Britain begins on Saturday 2 August at Great Malvern in Worcester and will traverse the historic heart of England to arrive in Nottingham on Friday 8 August.
