I read the review for this pack in a hillwalking magazine and bought it to try out as it was the lightest in the review. Despite it's very low weight it's in my opinion an excellent fully functional three season hillwalking pack that has done me for over 15 Munro's from spring through to autumn. The strengths are the full length zip system, the side pockets on the waist strap (spare gloves typically held here) and the mini-pockets on the shoulder straps (energy bar's and a compass in my case). It's a very robust pack that has survived several batterings whilst mountain biking with my boots and poles hanging off it's back (for getting into and out of the hills) as well as the walking itself. It's extremely comfortable so long as it's packed with a softer item of clothing against the back; it moulds to your shape. There's more than enough room for a full day's three season walking; I regularly also have squeezed in a pair of approach shoes and these are accommodated without issue. After 10 full days out in the Scottish hills there's no sign of any wear and the zips are all going great. For winter walking / four season I'd possibly try and get the 35 litre version, however for spring, summer and autumn hillwalking this is a fantastic piece of kit that I can't recommend highly enough.
