Wild Country Blizzard 2 by Terra Nova, stands up to the claim as a four-season tent coping in seriously bad weather with ease. I've used this tent during Winter, early Spring and late Autumn hikes in the wonderful surroundings of Scottish Mountains and hills. With the packed weight of 2.2kg for what it can protect you from, it isn’t really that heavy.

In rain and snow conditions pitching is made easy as it goes up as inner and outer together, the three-pole structure gives stability and each pole is colour coded so it’s easy to know where to put it. Whilst it isn’t free standing, it does mean a bit more consideration is needed when camping on rocky or frozen ground.

Once up you get a feeling of protection from the bad weather. I swapped out the standard pegs, which are quite large for some thinner lighter titanium; the flysheet can be adjusted to give more ventilation or pulled to the ground, to stop snow, wind and rain from coming in; the groundsheet has high sides giving a good bathtub.

It's my go to tent for the Late Autumn, Winter and Early Spring, more than happy to recommend.
