Olympic athlete and now seasoned explorer James Cracknell recently completed the Yukon Arctic Ultra cycle race across Canada, dubbed ‘The Coldest Race On Earth’.
Having completed an amazing recovery from life-threatening injuries after a cycling accident while competing in the Race Across America, the he decided to enter this challenging event to make sure he could still cut it. As part of the recovery from his injuries ,doctors recommended he rest for at least 6 hours everyday and he chose a Terra Nova Gore-Tex Saturn bivi to protect him from the serious conditions encountered in the race.
