Three New Bivis For Tentless Travellers

Terra Nova Equipment, leading British tent and outdoor clothing manufacturer, has introduced three new bivi bags under its Wild Country brand.

Tentless travellers looking to minimise weight or pack size to be carried have three options from Wild Country, including entry level Scout aimed at the first time or occasional user. This three-season bivi uses highly breathable and exceptionally water resistant fabric technology. Weighing a minimum of 800g unpacked and 850g packed, Scout is ideal for one person.

The Sentinel benefits from the addition of a vertical support pole at the head end to lift the fabric away from the user’s face, resulting in a more comfortable sleeping arrangement. This bag also allows for a window panel and has excellent ventilation.

Also a three-season bag for one person, the Sentinel weighs a minimum of 900g unpacked and 950g packed.

A small porch area ideal for a rucksack and full mosquito net door are the added extras on the third bag – the Tardis. For bivi use in most conditions, the Tardis offers excellent ventilation as standard and features a window panel at the head end. A three-season bag for one person with a minimum unpacked weight of 1kg and 1.1kg packed.

Commenting on the launch Carolyn Budding, sales and marketing manager at Terra Nova Equipment said:

“We believe our new Wild Country bivi bag range offers something for every user with lots of technical and aesthetic extras at competitive price points. All our bivis are highly breathable and water resistant and are the ideal cover and extra insulation for sleeping bags for those who wish to travel without a tent”.
