Worlds Lightest Tent

Which weighs more – a bag of sugar or a tent? Leading British tent and outdoor clothing manufacturer, Terra Nova Equipment, has designed one of the world’s lightest tents which is equivalent in weight to a bag of sugar.

The pioneering new Laserlite weighs just one kilogram (inner, flysheet, pole) making it the lightest 1-2 person, 2 skin tent currently available on the market today. Even packed (with all 11 pegs, bags and instructions) this revolutionary tent weighs just 1.15kg and sets new standards for lightweight camping and backpacking.

The tent has been designed for outdoor enthusiasts who need high performance lightweight gear. Ideal for lightweight backpacking, mountain marathons and minimalist travel, the tent comes with attention-to-detail as standard. Space has not been compromised at the expense of weight, the tent offers tardis-like space with plenty of room for one or two people to comfortably sit up in.

Two models are available in the range – the one-man Laserlite and the two-man Laser which has a minimum weight of 1.2kg (pole, inner, flysheet and minimum 6 pegs required to pitch). Both are fully waterproof and feature Watershed Lite fabric. Both models will be available for sale from February 2004.
