Achieve The Perfect Quasar Flysheet Fit

Getting your flysheet to sit perfectly in place on a Quasar tent isn’t that difficult, with our 7-step process.

The Quasar is the definitive mountain tent, survivor of numerous Himalayan, Alpine and Polar expeditions and inspiration for a whole host of geodesic tent designs. Part of its charm is the effortless simplicity with which it can be pitched, but did you know that there’s a specific order in which to attach the flysheet if you want the best results? No? Well here’s what you need to do. in 7 simple steps.

Pitch the inner tent using all four poles, but don’t peg it down yet.

Attach one of the flysheet corners to its corresponding blue pole foot, using the webbing tape with eyelets.1

Now attach the DIAGONALLY OPPOSITE CORNER of the flysheet, lining up the seam over the top of the tent as you do so.

Repeat this with the remaining two corners, lining up the seam and then locking the flysheet under the pole feet.

Now peg the corners of the inner tent out using the loops on the ends of the blue webbing tapes to flatten the groundsheet and secure the tent.

Then, form the flysheet doors at either end by pegging out the shockcord loops at the bottom of the flysheet zips. Check that the seam running across the top of the door is in line with the red pole underneath.

Finally, peg out the side shockcord loops and guylines.
