DAC Poles
We use DAC poles across many of our highest-spec tents for their strength, weight-saving design, and reduced environmental impact.
We exclusively feature DAC Green Anodised poles in our premium tent range to deliver world-class strength and weight savings with a radically reduced environmental footprint.
Material: Exclusive patented TH72M aluminium alloy
The lightest aluminium poles available: DAC NFL poles the lightest-weight aluminium technical poles on the market
Clever design to save extra weight: Poles are swaged at both ends for lighter overall mass
Technical Edge: Fatigue resistance ensures structural integrity through years of heavy use
Green Technology: The Anodising process completely eliminates nitric and phosphoric acids, utilising a closed-loop water recycling system to protect both the environment and the craftspeople who build them.
The gold standard for performance and a sustainable future.
DAC Performance
Tested in the lab & in the field – DAC is built to survive the winds of Everest, Greenland and Antarctica.
When DAC develop their tent poles, they test them using state-of-the-art methods and machinery, like their own wind tunnel and accelerated stress-corrosion testing.
DAC produce a range of tent poles built for different purposes, from their ultralight NFL poles to their stiffer DA pole. We use an array of different DAC poles depending on the intention behind each shelter design.
- NFL Pole: The lightest-weight, technical aluminium pole on the market
- NSL Pole: A lightweight pole with an impressive Moment of Inertia (resistance to bending)
- PF Pole: The most versatile DAC pole that provides a consistent strength-to-weight ratio

DAC Sustainability
DAC is proudly the most sustainable aluminium pole manufacturer in the world.
Performance & Innovation are priorities of DAC, but so is sustainability and responsible tent pole production.
This is why they invented the proprietary Green Anodization Process. By doing this, DAC eliminated 133 tons of phosphoric, nitric and sulphuric acid in 2018 alone. This innovative process also eliminated much of the fuel and energy consumption needed for conventional aluminium anodization.
To help care for our planet, DAC also recycle all aluminium scrap to create new consumer goods, plus they’re the first aluminium supplier to use the HIGG index to measure their environmental impacts.
