Triplex Technology

Durable. Sustainable. Expedition-Ready.

TriPlex™ is Terra Nova’s most advanced tent fabric — developed to offer high-performance protection while reducing environmental impact.

TriPlex™ is a triple ripstop polyester fabric made from:

Recycled fibres – using post-consumer plastic bottles

Solution-dyed yarns – reducing water, energy and chemical use

PFC-free coatings – free from harmful fluorocarbons

The result is a rugged, weatherproof fabric that’s built for serious adventures — and better for the planet.

Why We Use It?

Triple Ripstop Strength
Woven for increased tear resistance and long-term durability in exposed terrain.

Sustainable Construction
From yarn to coating, every layer is designed to minimise waste, water use and emissions.

Waterproof Performance
A High-Pressure Silicone Coating (HPS Si/Si) is applied to both sides of the fabric — for lightweight waterproofing that lasts, with no need for toxic WR treatments.

Where You’ll Find It

TriPlex™ fabric is used across our SS25 tent range, including the Solar Horizon 2 Tent. Look for the TriPlex™ badge on select flysheets and groundsheets for sustainable strength that doesn’t compromise on performance.
