Terra Nova Equipment Supports Earth Day 2024

April 22nd marks Earth Day, a global event aimed at highlighting the importance of conservation and protecting our planet. It’s a great opportunity to engage and unite everybody with one shared goal: protecting our earth.

The theme for this year’s Earth Day is ‘Planet Vs. Plastics’ and aims to raise awareness of plastic pollution within the environment. At Terra Nova Equipment, we understand the harmful effects of plastic in the atmosphere, as well as harmful byproducts that can be created in the manufacturing process.

We’re constantly researching new ways to improve the performance of our products while minimising environmental impact. Our team has been working with suppliers to identify new, sustainable materials, compartments and coatings that are completely PFC-free and friendly to our planet. We also use DPD for our deliveries and they use a fleet of electric vehicles, helping to keep C02 emissions down!

But this is only the beginning. We are committed to researching and discovering more eco-friendly solutions to maintain and sustain the planet we all love to explore.

This year, we are getting involved with Earth Day by donating 5% of the profits from all sales on Earth Day to the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) to support their fundraising efforts. Founded in 2006 by the European Outdoor Group, this organisation works with members and supporters to fund a growing number of global grassroot conservation and regeneration projects to protect the wild spaces our planet relies on.

Browse the Terra Nova, Wild Country and Extremites products and know that by shopping with us today, you are doing your little bit to protect our Planet Earth.

The EOCA has funded over 194 projects in over 65 countries and with the help of their members (that’s us…and you!) can continue their work to protect the planet and make a difference to this Earth. Their main projects include:

  • Tackling the loss of Biodiversity
  • Mitigating against Climate Change
  • Regeneration and Conservation
