Helm Compact 1

The Helm Compact 1 is a remarkably spacious 1 person tent that packs down to just 30cm x 17cm. The 3 season, 1 person tent is lightweight and compact that is easy to pitch and simple to pack away, making it perfect for backpacking trips and youth expeditions.

  • The inner has plenty of headroom and there’s a good-sized porch for kit storage.
  • There’s extra storage space under the rear flysheet which can be accessed from a small door in the inner.
  • The dome design provides more stability than a single-pole tent.
  • Quick and easy to erect, the flysheet and inner pitch together.
  • Great ventilation with a mesh panel on the inner door, plus a smaller mesh door with a cover at the rear of the inner.
  • Easy access to the rear porch is accessible through the small door on the inner.
  • Comes with a side-opening, tarp-style tent bag which makes it easier to pack away when it’s time to move on.
  • A good choice for backpackers and campers looking for a roomy 1 person tent.
We recommend using a footprint that sits under the groundsheet and porch area to help prolong the life of your tent.

Clearance Options Available

Seconds: Products appearing with this grade are cosmetic seconds only. We do not offer any products with faults that may affect their performance or function.  Typically these faults are stitching faults (such as incorrect embroidery), incorrect fabric colours or dye migration. Seconds are not graded as they will not have been used.

Grade A: Items that have been used will be given a grade that reflects their general appearance and the amount of wear they show. Grade A items will not have been used outdoors but may show some signs of indoor use such as creasing or scuff marks.

Grade B: There will be signs of use and the item may have been used outdoors, but if so only for short periods of no more than a few days. Sleeping bags will not have been slept in. Tents may have been pitched in the wet, in which case they will be dried and packed correctly before entering the stock. Grade B items may have had minor repairs, however, the repair will not affect the performance of the product. As a repair would be specific to an individual tent, it is not possible to list these in the product description.
