The Laser Ultra 1 has been awarded the Guinness World Record for the lightest double wall shelter in the world! With an incredibly low weight this model is ideal for adventure racers who are looking for the ultimate in low weight tents.

► Designed for adventure racing and other short duration trips where ultra light kit is key

Suitable for 1 person, or two people at a squeeze

► The tiny pack size means it will easily stash in a rucksack and will fit in most panniers.

► The Laser Ultra 1 is compatible with the Terra Nova FASTPACK system (fastpack weight: 385g)*

► Supplied with this Laser tent you will get an extra black pole hood and guy lines, which is sometimes already attached to the tent or supplied in an extra mesh stuff sack

► The benefit to using this is that it offers greater weather and UV protection on the main pole seam along with increased stability

Please note: this tent is designed for short duration events of 1 or 2 nights. For longer trips we recommend the Laser Competition 1 or Laser Photon 1

Important Information

This product is made from our superlight and strong waterproof ULTRA fabric. The lightweight nature of this fabric can cause unique patterns and inconsistency in its colour and shade. This is perfectly normal and does not affect the performance of the product in any way.

Due to the super light nature of the material used we are unable to factory seal the seams in a conventional method. However they are positioned and sewn in a way that minimises water penetration to the inner. A removable black pole cover is also supplied with the tent to fully waterproof the main seam, add stability, protect the zip.  It is also possible to add further protection yourself with seam sealer.

This Terra Nova product is guaranteed to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product.

Review: stunning perfromance 10/11/14

have had this tent for a few years now - used on many mountain marathons - a squeeze for two, but for little folks like me, it's (lack of) weight is worth the cozyness. I've had this tent up in 50-60 mph winds over night on several occasions (inadvertently, not through choice).. the cuben fibre is tissue thin and one always thinks it's going to tear/rip... this tent just shrugs the wind off, testament to it's design, but also provides assurance that the cuben fibre is tough stuff. for the weight conscious MMer this tent is stunning.
Review: High quality design and workmanship. 21/10/13

I selected this ultralight tent for a hike through the Pyrenees on the HRP in autumn 2013. It is difficult to find fault with the design or quality workmanship: all of it has been meticulously worked out by experts.

The tent is spacious enough for one person to be comfortable. One good feature is that this design allows you to sit upright in the middle, unlike with lesser one-man tent designs. I carried a 60 litre rucksack and there was insufficient space to store it inside with me while sleeping. This meant leaving the rucksack outside with the rain cover on but this was quite manageable.

The tent is assembled and erected as one piece quickly and easily. I would have preferred to be able to separate the inner tent from fly sheet more easily: if the fly sheet is wet from rain the water will soak the inner when folded together. Unless you have a drying wind it can take a long time to dry these out.

The materials from which the tent is constructed are extremely robust. Over a month of use I did not puncture or perforate any of the surfaces despite camping on a variety of abrasive surfaces. No part of the tent was damaged during normal use. Care must be taken with the arched ridge pole: it is delicate and could easily be damaged through careless use. I bought a groundsheet separately as an optional accessory and used it every time I put the tent up but I am an not convinced that this is necessary. It's a good idea to carry an extra 6 titanium pegs: they are very small and easily lost despite being brightly coloured.

In stormy conditions this tent stood up to a tremendous buffeting and was highly resilient. Nil ingress of rain water.

There is a piece of practical advice in the instructions that should be observed: do not leave the tent assemble for long periods in strong direct sunlight: disassemble it during daylight if possible to protect the fabric from powerful solar radiation which will inevitably cause the material to weaken and perish.

Finally, thank you to Terra Nova. A great product.
