Built for solo adventurers who require a lightweight yet stable shelter that can keep pace with demanding conditions. Designed for weight-conscious backpackers, endurance athletes, and bike packers, it offers a balance of durability, interior space, and minimal weight, making it an excellent choice for those looking to travel fast and light without compromising on protection.
The TriPlex™ flysheet improves overall stability, making the tent more resilient in harsh conditions. Featuring recycled, solution dyed, and PFC-free fabrics to ensure a more sustainable design, allowing adventurers to make an environmentally responsible choice without sacrificing performance. AiroCorner™ technology further enhances groundsheet longevity whilst offering reliable waterproofing at the corner points.
Also including an adjustable connected flysheet and inner with linelock corners, improving pitching efficiency, plus an adjustable FlexiPorch offering customisable vestibule space. The groundsheet uses a high-performance, high-pressure silicone Si/Si fabric, reducing weight while maintaining durability and waterproofing. The tent’s compact footprint and single side-entry door make it ideal for solo users who need an efficient shelter that maximises both space and protection. Best little tent
I purchased my Laser lite in 2004 for my microlight flying trips. Weight is all important and at about 1kg this couldn’t be beaten at the time. I have used it for a solid week as well as for occasional 1 or 2 night trips each year, packing it up and pitching each day. It is surprisingly robust for such a light tent, but did return to Terra-Nova for a small repair a few years ago, which was carried out very neatly. It is ideal for one person, and I can sit upright in it, but when transitioning from sitting to lying I find that my head caresses the roof. Not a problem for a shorter person. It is really easy and quick to erect, keeps out even heavy rain and, with the gauze door and end vents it keeps out the Scottish midges too. I find that condensation develops overnight, so I hook up the two ends of the fly on the short tent poles at the ends to increase ventilation which resolves this. There is room inside for one person to sleep plus enough space for clothes, shoes and a small hold-all within the tent. I don’t find the external space very useful, but it would be somewhere to stash muddy walking boots overnight, for example.
Lightweight, compact, easy to erect and pack away, . It’s a great little tent.

Great Tent
Ok I ended up testing this tent under quite extreme conditions, when I used it overnight at a Cadet Fieldcraft training weekend.
I brought this along mainly as a backup for my tarp and bivi. My Gore-Tex bivi being about 40ish years old, and have been using it regularly since the 1994 Raleigh International Exped to Alaska. It was second hand then… The weather on the first night was a little ‘inclement..’ and no surprises, I found my bivi bag was a little leaky.
No alternative, but to pitch my Laser Lite 1 in little to no light at an un-Godly hour. It’s so simple to put up quickly even in unfavourable conditions.
Once up it was warm and sturdy and put up with a lot of buffeting from the weather AND cadets tripping over it.. Dropping it the next morning, as we were moving to a new area was just as easy and quick. Pack size and weight meant that I was able to stow it in a side pocket of my Burgan without issue.
Second night was no less eventful, but Laser Lite was the go-to, no extra thought needed.
Very pleased with my purchase and will be travelling with me everywhere.
