IO 1&2 Pitching Instructions
iO is a Trekking pole tent, meaning there are only end poles that come with the tent and it is pitched using trekking poles to create a stable structure. Our recommended height to set the poles is 125cm.
Our Step-by-step guide
- Unpack the tent and lay out flat, ensuring all corners are exposed.
- Connect door clips to keep the shelter secure when pitching
- Insert end poles into the top vent eyelet and then the bottom eyelet
- Peg out the end pole using the guylines located above the end pole & in each corner of the flysheet
- Insert trekking pole spike upwards in the eyelet located in the main flysheet vent (Behind the terra nova logo) and extend, pushing it vertically into the ground
- We recommend extending your trekking pole to 120-125cm
- Secure the trekking pole to your inner using the strap and loop provided
- Repeat for the otherside
- Peg out flysheet guylines to get the iO taut
- Ensure your end poles say vertical as you peg around the tent
- Tighten your guylines using the grippers to get the flysheet as taut as possible
- Use the adjusters found by the trekking poles to adjust your inner height, maximising head space
