This campsite’s grass pitches have stunning views over the Teign Valley, situated just on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park. The surrounding area is popular amongst hikers, cyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts, with plenty of paths and trails. Start the day right with a takeaway breakfast during the summer holidays or head to the local pub for a well-earned rest at the end of the day. There’s plenty of space for activities your kids will enjoy. Simply play games on the grass area, head to the playground or let your kids pet the goats and chickens in the pet corner. A day at the beach is also an option, with the coast only a 7-mile drive from the campsite.

Ashbourne Woods Campsite

This campsite is situated in a beautiful woodland only a stone’s throw from the National Park. Choose from grass or woodland pitches or simply glamp it out and choose one of the available huts. If you choose the woodland pitches, you’ll get a glimpse of wild camping but with the luxury of nearby facilities which include toilets, showers, and a laundry area. This campsite allows you to have campfires, so bring along some marshmallows and wind down by the fire. A nearby eleventh-century pub is only located 10 minutes away, serving refreshing pints and tasty food in the evening.
