It was love at first pitch. So fast and easy to pitch with its single pole design. Ones you add the trekking poles it becomes a tank of a tent. There is plenty of space inside and the two vestibules gives you so much flexibility. I have used it several times now out in the Peak District it all sorts of conditions and it’s taken it all in its stride. Can’t wait to get out in it again.
Took this tent out for a maiden voyage into the lakes a week or 2 back. So easy to pitch and basically free standing so can pick it up and move it around til you find the right spot. Seems super sturdy even without the trekking poles although to be fair it’s not been in strong winds or gusting conditions yet. Generous space inside certainly more than enough for man and dog ! Love the 2 vestibules each opening at opposite ends so allowing for the wind you can use the most sheltered side for cooking/looking out of. 2.85kg isn’t exactly lightweight but I’m more than happy to carry it knowing I’ve got the security of a solid shelter. One gripe. Pockets or lack of them. Door stows double up as pockets not too bad but would like a bit more storage inside the inner. The inner has a good balance of materials between mesh and solid. Not too much mesh so with vents closed you can possibly use as 4 season. Poles are 9.5mm so thicker than your average 2 person tent poles. I’ll possibly revisit this review after more time and use but as of now I’m really impressed .
After a weekend away wild camping in the lakes this tent has just impressed me again and again. Very spacious (actually a 2 person tent), extremely easy to pitch and with added trekking pole support literally becomes the sturdiest tents I’ve owned. Genuinely think I would trust it more than my voyager. Managed to get it for a discounted price but even so I think it’s worth the price it’s on at. Very good features and not a bad weight for the size.
