DAC Green Anodized Poles
Eco-conscious engineering from the world leader in tent pole technology.
We exclusively feature DAC Green Anodized poles in our premium tent range to deliver world-class strength and weight savings with a radically reduced environmental footprint.
Material: Exclusive TH72M aluminum alloy, providing the highest strength-to-weight ratio in the industry.
Green Technology: The Anodising process completely eliminates nitric and phosphoric acids, utilizing a closed-loop water recycling system to protect both the environment and the craftspeople who build them.
Ultralight Design: Precision swaged at both ends to shed every unnecessary gram without compromising structural integrity.
The gold standard for performance and a sustainable future.
Ultra-lightweight flexibility. Trim weight. Go further.
Designed by our product specialists to offer ultimate versatility for fast-paced adventures, the FastPack system allows you to dramatically reduce your rucksack’s weight and bulk. By using a dedicated footprint in place of an inner tent, you transform your shelter into a high-performance, minimalist waterproof bivi-style setup.
Modular Weight Saving: Leave the inner tent at home when conditions permit to shave significant grams and volume from your pack.
Weatherproof Protection: The system utilises a footprint that covers the entire area under the flysheet, including the porch, providing a clean, dry sleeping area.
Structural Integrity: The footprint is precision-engineered to provide the essential tension and anchor points required for the poles, ensuring the tent remains stable and secure.
Terra Nova tents will be making a film appearance in 2013. UK climber, Leo Houlding, chose Terra Nova 3-man Hyperspace tents to use on his latest epic film adventure, in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica.
The expedition team left the UK in December 2012 to make an attempt on a new route on the northeast ridge of Ulvetanna. Ulvetanna (“the wolf’s tooth” in Norwegian) is located in the Orvin Fjell mountains of Queen Maud Land, eastern Antarctica. At 2,930m, it is the most technically demanding peak on the harshest continent.
The film of the expedition will be the third part of a trilogy shot by leading filmmaker Alistair Lee. The first of which was the multi-award winning ‘The Asgard Project’, followed by the ‘Autana Jungle Mission’ film which premièred in 2012. The Asgard Project won 26 awards on the international mountain film festival circuit and has been seen by millions of outdoor enthusiasts around the world.
“The Hyperspace tents were outstanding especially when double poled – an under valued trick that turns them from tents into hurricane shelters. We experienced winds up to 45mph that really rattled the other tents but barely effected our double-polers. We were narrowly spared a beating from forecast 100mph winds, had we been hit we would’ve been relying on them for survival.” – Leo Holding, April 2013.
British Made Terra Nova Hyperspace tents are used by countless expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctica as they are a perfect base camp tent and built for this type of expedition.
A huge congratulations to the team who have successfully reached the summit from all at Terra Nova Equipment!
