The Southern Cross 2 tent is a completely freestanding lightweight tent suitable for all-season backpacking. The Southern Cross 2 takes its design inspiration from the award winning Laser range of lightweight tents but includes an additional pole to provide extra stability and structure
禍ｼ Due to its 100% freestanding nature, pegging is kept to a minimum when optimising its strength / weight ratio
禍ｼ The tent has 2 doors and 2 equal size porches enabling easy access and exit for both occupants and plenty of storage space for kit
禍ｼ Pitching is quick and easy as the flysheet and inner are erected as one
禍ｼThe flysheet and groundsheet are fully taped providing complete waterproof protection
禍ｼ There is a spacious inner and porch, and the porch door can be fixed open in several ways to provide the most suitable weather protection for the current conditions
禍ｼ We’ve included a handy webbing loop at the bottom of the flysheet door to accomodate a trekking pole, enabling you to create a useful canopy.

I got the tent a year ago and have used it multiple times now atop a mountain, on a campsite and in more sheltered locations. I am blown away by how well this tent has performed; it has truly exceeded all of my expectations. The inner stays attached to the flysheet so it makes pitching it super easy even in windy or rainy weather. Packing it away is also super easy. 10/10
