I have been a keen outdoors enthusiat for deacades now and have seen many outdoor equipment brands come and go, many declining in the quality of their products in recent years unfortunately. One clear exception to this is Terra Nova Equipment, I purchased their sublime Ultra Quasar Tent well over 20 years ago and its still going strong to this day. In recent times I tend to focus on longer hiking trips and wanted to lighten the load a little but, still have a tent which could cope with all environments, all year round without being a weight issue. The terra Nova Southern Cross 2 fits the bill perfectly, using high quality material together with a design thats going to last even in the toughest of conditions like the Ultra Quasar . Theres plenty of room for two people with two relatively large vestibules/porches which have plenty of room for storing kit and cooking. I am over 6ft tall and can sit up in this tent most comfortably so for those days when the weather turns bad the living space is a real joy to be in for long periods unlike so many tents. recently I spent a couple of days out on Dartmoor in sub zero temperatures and did not experience one single drop of condensation within the inner tent itself. I sincerely could go into significant detail regarding this tent but, will end this review with saying this tent is sublime, quick to pitch and highly recommended.
